About Our Business
Aunt Edna's Bed and Breakfast
Little Bay Islands has had the house at 87 Main Street as a
business on the islands since it was built in 1900.  The B&B is the
only accommodation on the island and Sharlene not only
accommodates her guests but entertains and offers cultural
interpretation for guests who are looking to learn more about Little
Bay Islands and the Newfoundland Outport history.  The historic
home was the home of the wireless operator Rupert Oxford and his
wife Aunt Edna Oxford.  The house is virtually unchanged since it
was built by master carpenter Jimmy White in 1900.  The
furnishings include Newfoundland antique furniture and
accessories, giving the feel of the time of its construction.  The fit
and finish of the detail of the house are a testament to the
craftsmanship of the builder and a genuine treasure .  Contact us
